Cat Toilet Training

Are you a frustrated cat owner who is absolutely sick of cleaning the litter box? Then you should consider
cat toilet training. I know it sounds a bit crazy but it has become an exciting topic for cat
owners across the world. If you want to help keep your home cleaner and smelling better, not to mention the
potential savings then you need to look at investing in a cat training toilet.
The first thing you need to do is to become educated on how to train your cat. If you don’t understand and know
how to teach your cat the basics, you won’t get very far. Each little thing you accomplish is a small and slow step
towards the ultimate goal. Just as if you were training your roommates on keeping the toilet seat in the down
position. You might leave small notes all over the place as reminders to clean up or buy groceries. The same sort
of thing will be required when training your cat so you need to make sure that you can make time to properly do
it.
The biggest step in training is getting your cat conditioned to use the litter box when they need to have a
movement. During the course of training it is important that the litter box is in one place and not in different
locations throughout the month. A great place to keep it is in the bathroom because eventually we can get them to
use the regular toilet as well. Being in there gives you the chance to turn on a fan and close the door. Not to
mention, when cleaning up it will be much easier to do so on a tile floor rather than carpet. Once they have been
conditioned to use the litter box by the toilet, you will want to gradually raise the height of the litter box. If
you do it too fast your cat may dislike it and decide to do their business behind the couch.
Once you get your cat use to the idea of doing business up high, your next goal is to get them to use the
toilet. The best way I’ve found is to get a similar litter box that will fit just inside the toilet bowl. Once your
cat is use to the idea of using the toilet in this manner, it is only a matter of time before you can remove it.
It’s important to have something inside the bowl to start because your cat might slip or need the support until
they are comfortable. And that is what we call the cat training toilet. If your cat will do this
then think about how much money you will save on litter and litter boxes.
